Altus Adventure was founded by Craig & Laura Offless who together have many years experience of working in outdoor related activities. Both have led and instructed groups in the UK and overseas.
Craig is a committed climber and mountaineer holding the Mountain Instructor Certificate (MIC) and is an Accredited Practitioner for the Institute for Outdoor Learning. He is a BCU Canoe Coach, Level 4 and has worked in a variety of positions in outdoor centres in the UK and overseas. Craig began climbing at an early age in the Peak District and went on to bigger and better things climbing notable peaks in Europe, the Himalaya, Africa and the Middle East, and North and South America. Craig is also an accredited trainer and assessor for the Mountain Leader and Single Pitch Awards.
Laura has considerable experience within the Outdoor Industry. Having completed a BA (Hons) degree at Solent University she pursued a career within the expedition and adventurous activity industry as an expedition leader and Operations Manager. After almost 10 years became Head of UK Operations for a leading expedition provider. She then completed her PGCE and became an Associate Lecturer for the University of Derby. Laura now runs the Cheshire Cheese Inn where all the Altus Adventure Residential courses are run from
